Jones 1993 by Devin Cabrera

★★★★★
A Riveting Descent into Darkness.

Jones 1993 by Devin Cabrera is a gripping continuation of the series that began with Jones 1963. If you haven’t read Jones 1963 yet, I highly recommend starting there to witness the transformation of Jones Jepsen from a complex and multifaceted individual into a living devil.

Jones 1993 is narrated from the perspective of a serial killer who was sentenced to death 30 years ago and has been summoned by three teenagers with their own agendas, hoping Jones Jepsen could fulfill their purposes. Unfortunately, Jones has unfinished business and is determined to deliver his own brand of justice to those who wronged him.

In his final moments before being sentenced to death, Jones’s last words echoed through the courtroom: “I will return, and those who wronged me will face my wrath.” This chilling declaration sets the tone for the entire series, leaving readers with a sense of impending doom and anticipation.

Cabrera skillfully brings the character to life, portraying Jones’s brutal, rage-filled, and hateful methods of killing. As you turn each page, the palpable tension and the intricate layers of character unraveling keep you tethered to the story, unable to look away. The vivid descriptions of Jones’s actions and his unyielding hatred create a chilling atmosphere, leaving readers torn between horror and intrigue.

As the story unfolds, the lines between victims and villains blur, raising questions about morality, redemption, and the consequences of summoning a spirit consumed by rage. Cabrera masterfully captures the psychological collapse of each character, intertwining their fates with Jones’s relentless quest for justice—or perhaps, his distorted version of it.
