When I picked up ‘My Father Is A Serial Killer’ by Spencer Guerrero, I had an expectation if will be story twisted and exciting to hope I get the real bad guy by the end of the story. This is the second book I have read by Spencer Guerrero, and once again, I found myself utterly captivated. From the very first chapter, a cloud of suspense lingered over the story—it made me question everything about Venus and her father or even questioning whether it is her head playing a trick on her. Could he really be the serial killer or just her imaginary?
As the story unfolded, my suspicions shifted constantly. Just when I thought I had figured it out, a new twist would throw me completely off course. The way Guerrero weaves doubt into every interaction and detail is nothing short of brilliant. I found myself clinging to every word, desperate to unravel the mystery alongside Venus. It was as if the book knew exactly how to keep me hooked, feeding me just enough to stay on the edge of my seat, yet holding back enough to keep the final answer tantalizingly out of reach.
What really struck me was how emotionally invested I became in Venus’s journey. Her perspective felt so raw, so real, that I couldn’t help but share in her fear, confusion, and determination. The layers of family secrets and her growing unease made the story feel deeply personal, as though I were uncovering those truths with her.
