Maybe you’ve felt that hollow silence in your own home the ache of absence after someone you love is gone. Lisa Unger captures that loneliness perfectly, making Jules’ journey feel deeply personal. I couldn’t help but root for her as she tried to find hope and rebuild her life, especially when Kirin entered the picture. He seemed like exactly what she needed: handsome, talented, and thoughtful. For a while, I truly believed she was headed for her happily-ever-after and maybe you will too.
But what really made my heart race were the shivers of suspense woven throughout. Picture this: a high-tech home run by an AI named Vivi, controlling everything from lights to locks. Suddenly, the place meant to protect you starts to feel like it’s watching and maybe trapping you. It’s a twist that will make any reader pause and wonder just how much trust we put in our “smart” devices.
If you’re a fan of atmospheric stories, the details in Kirin’s studio are absolutely chilling. As a world-renowned puppet and doll maker, his creations blur the line between artistry and eeriness.
